Finding treasure in the Midwest with my Garrett At Pro and Minelab Equinox 800 and turning coins into new, wearable treasure.
Minnesota, USA

I took my friend metal detecting today, loaned him my AT Pro and pin pointer as well as a digger and pouch. He rewarded my with three foreign coins from his collection that weren't in the shape he wanted. So, I turned them into two coin rings and a toe ring. I love the pattern!

On my birthday last Saturday, my buddy went with me to a local park. Didn't fiind much except the oil lamp part and a rusty spoon. So we knocked on a few doors and got some permissions. Did okay with 5 wheats, a war nickel and a silver Rosie dime.

September 19 found a friend and me on some private yard #permissions. He got a three #silver dime spill and I found two indians. I also found a war nickel, a #Matchbox car from 2002, a silver plated spoon and some clad coins. Fun day!

A new buddy and I went to a couple older spots back in August. So much trash. But I did manage to find this cool old cufflink with red stone, old P.O. box number plate and my first watch winder key with patent date of 1874.

My buddy with a #boat took me to a #party beach which has some history to it. I was hoping to find some old #jewelry but only managed one modern #silver toe ring. Oh, and lots of #bottlecaps. The #starbucks tumbler was cool.

I went back to the place where no one else wanted to go and pulled a 1945 War nickel and 1941 Mercury dime.

I decided to check out a construction site none of my buddies wanted to hunt, becasue thy said there was nothing to be found. Glad I could prove them wrong! These were the only 5 coins I found, 3 indians and 2 wheats.

My buddy took me to a spot he thought would be full of items. Well, apparently it's pretty well known and has been worked over quite well. All I found was this nice Michael Kors bracelet, not precious metal. But cool none-the-less.

I went on a land hunt with a newbie detectorist to help him get familiar with hi new AT Pro. I used the same model machine so I could help him dial in on signals. this was my only decent find: a 1956 Coon Rapids dog tax tag #802.

I went on a water hunt with a newbie water hunter in July. I was hoping for better finds, but I do like the knife, which I cleaned up and now carry with me every day.

A friend and I hit up a street tear-out. Got there a little too late, but did manage to find one good item. A nice old crotal bell, fully intact with the dinger still inside.

I was only able to get out this weekend for about 75 minutes. But managed to squeek out a 1901 crusty Indian cent along with a few modern coins. Other items were a cover of an old lipstick tube, broken key and an old silver plated fork which is stamped ROGERS & HAMILTON 12.

Made this giant Celtic Lore ring for my step-son using a one-ounce copper round which sports one of my favorite designs. I have always loved Celtic knot designs.
