This Veterans Day, we are reminded of the bravery and commitment of the men and women who have served and are still serving our country. As we recall their courage and strength, we must also ensure that their acts of valor are appropriately recognized.

Not one Filipino American on this list, so I will add to it: @Jokoy’s Netflix special; & @BrunoMars’ BET Awards, Grammy Awards, Billboard Awards, or Live at the Apollo performance. No more #ForgottenAsianAmericans.✊🏾 https://t.co/s0ocCqGlhA’s-top-asian-american-performances-2017

A few weeks ago, finally, we were able to honor Filipino WWII Veterans in the US Capitol and award them with the Congressional Gold Medal. For those who weren't able to be there, there will be awards presented in communities all across the country.
