I love Bryce Harper, but all this is, is him and Boras trying to squeeze more money out of Middletons pockets. You signed a 13 year deal with no trade clause. If he wanted to avoid this he should’ve signed for 4-5 years.

“I have given my all to Philly from the start,” Harper told @TheAthleticMLB on Saturday. “Now there is trade talk? I made every effort to avoid this. It’s all I heard in D.C. (with the Nationals). I hated it. It makes me feel uncomfortable.”

Dombrowksi confirms the Phillies aren’t trading Harper. Time for Yankee fans to find their next “we’re getting him” player

I will never understand why professional athletes and coaches (who make 10s of millions contractually) participate in illegal gambling. It might be the dumbest thing ever. Shohei, Kevin Long, and now Terry Rozier and more. Crazy...

So the NFL wants the Giants to be good. Got it. That call is ridiculous 😂

If they sign Kyle to a 5 year $150 million deal, and then sign JT to whatever his going rate is, the teams core players will be going into their mid to late 30’s in the not so distant future. Eventually they’ll have to pivot… Heavily.

The pendulum could finally be swinging back. Would love if the Phillies GM said something like this. Contact rate and hard-hit rate need to matter more. At least for specific roles in the lineup.

Riley Greene: “Nobody cares about my 200+ strikeouts.” His boss, Scott Harris: “I care immensely about those strikeouts 😬.” #RepDetroit

I don’t have an issue with Topper returning. His winning percentage is the best of any Phillies manager that’s coached for at least 4 seasons. I need Kevin Long to be gone and the lineup to change. That’s all.

Something people don’t mention enough… When your team is a World Series contender and they lose in the early rounds of the playoffs, you want nothing to do with playoff baseball. From ‘13-‘22 I enjoyed playoff baseball without a care in the world. Now it’s painful.

This will be Dave Dombrowski’s most consequential offseason during his tenure. Either repeat the 2012 method and go all in, OR, find a way to stay competitive now while also salvaging the future. Most of this depends on Middletons risk tolerance. We shall see.

Taken some time to reflect… There’s a good chance the Phillies look completely different next year. Don’t see as many re-signings as others do. Think trades take place as well. All of this will be for the better. They’ll still have a top 5 SP staff and be just as competitive.

In a series with 3 really close games these impactful calls always going the Dodgers way adds up!!! What are the chances every game they get the impactful calls go their way?

Cristopher Sánchez said the umpire apologized to him for missing the 2-2 pitch to Alex Call in the seventh. What should have been a strikeout became a walk, and that runner went on to score the tying run.

Played 11 innings of baseball and they only needed to score 2 runs. Pitching held them off as long as they could. Kerkering panics in a high pressure spot and the rest is history. Offense couldn’t get it done. This is now the 4th year in a row where the offense is at fault.
