NEHS volunteered at Feed My Starving Children ( https://t.co/AXL2BUFdxc ) Students packed 86 boxes (18,576 meals) of rice, vegetable & vitamin meals for 2 hours to help starving children in poor countries around the world. Thanks to Ms Binder & Ms. Ulczak for organizing this event

May 9th was Challenge Night: there was a Greek shadow constellation theater, underwater robots, an invasive carp exhibit with student programmed LED lights & games, AI exhibit, Penda Usuwa: a city set in the future, finite state machine & a re-imagined Forest Park Amusement Park

5th Gr. Challenge Program visited the Adler Planetarium on Friday. The students are looking beyond Earth- to planets & moons that may harbor life beneath their icy exterior and are creating scenarios with rovers & underwater robotics based on their research on these ocean worlds.
