New York đź—˝ I am hosting 2 events on Monday & Tuesday to bring more Black people into venture capital. I'm building a $5M Venture Capital fund to change the fact that less than 0.4% of VC goes to Black-owned startups and less than 2% of angel investors are Black @FictiveVentures

We got the very first funds wired into @FictiveVentures ... this is a real thing. I am about to cry because raising money from Black investors for Black entrepreneurs is the hardest $h!t I've EVER done

I had a call with a Black female founder this week. She has been in startup banking for 20+ years, and a founder for 4+ years. She told me I was the first Black female investor she ever had a call with. Ever. This is why I'm building @FictiveVentures It shouldn't be like this.

I run the only incubator for Black startups in Atlanta. Perhaps the entire state of Georgia. We're holding our first Demo Day to showcase 11 startups on Thursday. I'm excited for multiple reasons 👇🏽 https://t.co/WxLH9XPyO8

AI is an important sector, but a lot of $$ are chasing a lot of hype at the expense of climate tech. https://t.co/NiT3DPCnJT We’re sector agnostic, but recognize climate as one of the largest investment opportunities in history. Many diverse founders building in this space.
bloomberg.com
As more climate startups enter a capital-intensive, hardware-focused stage of development, scaling up is seen as expensive and risky. It’s also more important than ever.

We've got 20 kids ice cream cups sponsored tomorrow to give away for free. Come SHOW UP AND SHOW OUT, ATLANTA! I refuse to let another #BlackWomanOwned business close down. This year has been too rough on us. Let's support #Blackowned together
