When buying a card on eBay, do you factor in the shipping as a part of the price of the card?
Like for me if I get a card for $3 and there’s $4 shipping. That’s a $7 card in my eyes 😂

How do we make base cards matter again?
Watch someone open a pack, they skip the veteran base 9/10 times
An idea is make it a set reward, collect the base set and get a redemption pack. People might start trading again. It could make every card matter again!

Jersey cards are useless. In Prizm they are selling for less than the silver rookie.
Patch cards used to be game used, celebrated, an EXCITING PULL!!
Now it's just another card we pass over and not game used.

Inserts are becoming a weird part of the hobby where they are usually cast aside unless numbered or of your favorite team.
modern inserts, to me, have gotten worse, Mosaic Touchdown Masters, Prizm "HYPE", Topps Grand Gamers for example

When I worked with the Astros, they give rings to all the MiLB they own, and we also got to go to 3 World Series games, one from each they were in from 2019-2023 🙂

I want you to know the product inside and out, I want you to teach me.
Know the parallels
Know the players
Know the potential of a player don't just say "oh Tayjae Spears not who we are looking for" and move on.

Is it important to you that your breaker know about the sport they're breaking? (Good players, stats, etc.) Product (Checklist knowledge, big hits, etc.)? Both? Neither?

about a month ago I sent my first ever card through the mail.
Today, I sent my first ever bubble mailer!
this was even harder for me to do because of my anxiety. But I went to the post office and got it done 🙂
and now I'm wondering if I swapped the cards and addresses 😅

I was showing my LCS my X and how good the community is on here, and they told me, if i wanted, I could take their 5for$1 boxes and sell the cards on my account for them, split the profits

Vintage hobby twitter, I’ve been holding on to this for a long time because I can’t figure out how to price it. Last solds are all over the place.

90s/00s cards really are next level. However most of them are worthless. Which makes collecting them, that much more fun! 🙂

I’m noticing my collecting habits are really moving towards collecting cards you don’t see every day. Early Prizm, mid 2000s, 90s.
I still like modern #’d cards but I’m getting more picky. I almost value color match more than a /149, however, anything >100 I’m a sucker for😭

I don't really understand fans of their teams selling cards of their players once they leave, especially a beloved player
A player being on one team rarely happens, hell Brady played for the Bucs!
You can still love a player and your collection if the player leaves. 🙂
