Another fantastic week for Feniscowles Cricket Club’s junior teams! Under 11s are on fire, making it 7 wins in a row in the winter league! Meanwhile, our Under 9s had a great training session last night, full of fun, energy and some promising talent.

🏏 U11s Start Winter League with a Win! ❄️ A brilliant start to the Academy North Winter League for our Under 11s today as they kicked off the season with a well-earned victory! Great teamwork and effort lads 🏏

We were digging through the archives and came across some classic photos… and a very important award: Pigeon of the Week 🐦🏏 It’s amazing what a few years – and a lot of cricket – can do. Some of those youthful faces look… well, let’s just say they’ve “matured” since then!😜

🏏 Weekend Results 🏏 The 2nd XI were awarded the points after Barrowford conceded their fixture. The 1st XI lost against Read 2nd XI in a hard-fought contest. Rain interruptions led to a revised target. POTM was Marc Brennan with figures of 4 for 53 from 10.2 overs.

🏏 Match Day! 🏏 The sun is shining (for now ☔️ ) and we’ve two matches today… 1st XI are at home to Read 2nd XI. Food served 9am - 2pm and bar open from 12noon. 2nd XI are away at Barrowford for their last game of the season. Best of luck to both teams!

Three of our 2nd XI feature in the @nwcricketleague Team of the Week! Skipper Matt Nattrass is joined by father–son duo Paul and George Slater, after all three put in strong performances last weekend. A fantastic achievement – well done lads! 👏👏

Weekend Round-Up 🏏 1st XI – Lost out to Burnley Belvedere 2nd XI 🏏 2nd XI – went down to Chatburn 1st XI but Paul Slater smashed 74 off just 41 balls to take POTM. Skipper Matt Nattrass led from the front with 80 not out. 🌧️ 3rd XI – Game against Cherry Tree was abandoned.
