3/4 This tragedy occurred amid a sweeping deportation drive: in recent months, over 1.5 million Afghans have been expelled from Iran, many of whom had lived there for generations.

2/4 The tragic crash claimed at least 79 lives, including 19 children, and left just two survivors with injuries. Many victims were too badly burned to be identified; eyewitnesses described harrowing scenes of fire and chaos.
