Patient with MRSA spondylodiscitis and osteomyelitis from C1-6 with failed medical therapy over 6 weeks, causing severe cervical stenosis. I had no other options other than to fix from C0-T2 and decompress from C2-5. Patient sent home walking on 6th post-op day.

Epidermoid vs dermoid intradural tumor? . Another interesting intradural spine tumor of a 30 year old lady, I did yesterday. Two intradural tumor cases within a span of 5 days. I was able to get complete resection.The patient has no neurological deficits post-operatively.

Tumor was adherent to the cauda equina nerve roots, I used CUSA to internally debulk and then dissected to resect it completely, I didn’t have to sacrifice any nerve during the dissection. Post operatively patient has no new deficits, post op MRI shows complete resection.

Intradural tumor I operated yesterday:. A 22 year old gentleman presented to me with right lower limb pain and numbness for 6 weeks. MRI showed a 2.8x 1.3x 1.7 cm right sided intradural tumor at L4-5 level. I did a laminectomy and resection of this tumor.

I planned for anterior cervical corpectomy and fusion initially but ended up doing a 360 degree fusion. Post-operatively the patient is doing well and the weakness has resolved. Post op CT scans look satisfactory as well.

A 38 year old gentleman with naïve diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma, referred to us by the oncologists for neck pain and right upper limb weakness. Examination showed power 4/5 in right biceps and upper motor neuron signs in lower limbs. Work up showed collapsed C6 vertebra.

Sensation improved, urinary control improved. CNS involvement of Hodgkins is very rare about 0.2-0.5% in the literature, this turned out to be spinal tuberculosis.

Just after induction pt went into hypotension , had to start inotropic support. After discussion with the family, we started the surgery. Intraop there was frank pus that we drained, and fixed the spine. Post operatively patient did well, his deficits improved is walking,.

On examination he had power of 4/5 in the lower limbs, sensation significantly decreased below nipples, decreased perianal sensation. Reflexes were brisk and plantars upgoing. MRI showed T2-3 vertebral bodies collapse causing kyphotic deformity and cord compression.
