Happy Feast of St. Nicholas on the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea where the beloved bishop didn’t just profess the truth… according to tradition, he even defended it with his fists, famously punching the heretic Arius who denied the divinity of Christ!

On today’s feast of St. Martin of Tours, Patron Saint of the Pontifical Swiss Guard and all soldiers, a special prayer for all friends in the Guard and the military: May you always carry the sword of charity, as St. Martin used his sword to cut and share his cloak with the poor!
