So, I did a thing. The iconic @FarewellRFK stadium is about to be torn down. So, I bought 2 seats to have as a remembrance of the good ole days. I was asked what numbers I wanted & I thought I’d pick 2 great legends. @Commanders @darrellgreen28 @riggo44

OTD in 1981 - the Washington Diplomats beat the Montreal Manics 1-0 in their home opener at RFK Stadium in DC. Malcolm Waldron’s free kick beat Manic keeper Bob Rigby for the only score of the game.

Quick update on RFK Stadium demolition, @FOS: Seating is removed, asbestos abatement ongoing and parts of the stadium are completely torn down. Highly unlikely the NFL will return to this; site is play, not stadium. Demo started in January: https://t.co/2FpY0YAZL2

@FarewellRFK picking up the actual seat I sat in in my first RFK game back in 1993, Dan from Stadium Seat Depot made that happen. He also got my little Brother his seat as well. Maybe someday there will be Football here again someday.
