Yesterday I decided to see if I could get 1000 lines in endless marathon but ran out of time and had to leave. Today I tried and and got there pretty easily. Then just kept going. Now it's 1am and my thumb hurts, so I'm calling it at 2,000 lines for today. Maybe 5k in the future?

Because it's so hard to find opponents on Tetris Effect multiplayer, 1) my rank is way too low for my ability so I'm matched with players that don't want to play me again, and 2) my win rate is 100.00% lol. My last opponent lost in 32 seconds and quit after we got matched again😅

My latest ADHD project is a DIY scoreboard for volleyball. Now that numbers are displaying correctly, I need to hook up buttons for changing scores. Eventually the physical version will have large numbers on the front for the team and small numbers on the back for the scorekeeper

For my birthday, I got the greatest gift anyone could ever give me: the knowledge that, to get a negative value of a binary number using 2's compliment, you just invert all the numbers left of the least significant 1. 0110 (6) -> 1010 (-6).NEAT.

I just finished building all the gates for chapter 1 of #Nand2Tetris, and after typing out 363 NAND gates to build a 8-way 16-bit multiplexor I would like to lay down forever. 😌.

Ah, guess the demultiplexor was actually pretty easy. Just used the same NOT-AND gates to create the select signal, then fed that into an array of AND gates.

There we go. Multiplexing four 16-bit busses. Guess I need to make it's demultiplexing counterpart. 🥲

Though, now that I'm looking at it again, I'm wondering if this cascading switch type multiplexing isn't the best method. Maybe I should be turning the bus outputs on/off from the get go.

There's two 16-bit busses.

Had a spare few minutes so I built a multiplexor that switches between two 4-bit gates. Guess I need to build one that switches between four 16-bit gates now 🥲
