Mamdani's victory proves that reports about Islamophobia in New York City were exaggerated. It also shows that institutional Islamophobia needs to be differentiated from popular Islamophobia. In my opinion & experience, people of USA are not Islamophobic.

Crimes of this nature could be easily prevented if Muslim societies upheld the Quran and outlawed child marriage. However, patriarchal clerics have undermined the Quran’s progressive intent using questionable hadiths. Child marriage has no place in Islam.
