Half of the faculty in ON universities work on short-term contracts, often without benefits or job security. The Ford govt. has broken its promise not to cut jobs in the public sector. They have broken promises to make life affordable by making big cuts to OSAP. #BrokenPromises

Thank you, @RinaldiJen, for sharing your story. The sad reality is that many contract faculty members are forever stuck in precarious positions. This is due to a broken, profit-driven PSE system. Faculty and students deserve better. No more #BrokenPromises! #Fairness4CF
I marvel at what contract faculty can accomplish in the face of impossible odds. I remember cobbling together contracts from multiple universities just to make a living wage, & driving long distances to make it work. I had no time to prepare lectures, hold office hours, or grade.
