Hire believers in your mission, not just followers of your "why” People won't dive into startup life just because they’re as “in it” as the founder They need to see the bigger picture and feel the pull of the purpose themselves Aim for the heart, not just the hands

#Accounting tells you what your numbers have been. #Finance tells you what your numbers are going to be.

As a former CFO, my laptop, my financial models, everything, was on lock. When I built Clockwork, I was determined to keep security and privacy as a top priority. There are way too many software companies that own your data the second you start using their product.

I’ve said it a million times and I’ll say it again… Being an entrepreneur is the most difficult and lonely career choice anyone can choose #Entrepreneur #Founders

"If you want to build a ship, don't drum up people to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea." -Antoine de Saint Exupéry #Founders—hire believers in your mission, not just followers of your "why”

Revenue should drive your vision, not distract from it. I've been there—chasing any dollar, thinking it's all good revenue. Focus on the revenue that propels your mission forward, not the kind that pulls you off course. #Entrepreneurship #Founders

Being an entrepreneur isn't for the faint of heart. It's a razor's edge between wanting to punch a hole in the wall and feeling the urge to just curl up and cry. Being a founder is not just a job; it's a test of resilience and determination. #Entrepreneurship #Founders

When I first started running my own company I always thought being vulnerable meant boasting about the “grind and hustle” like I always saw on social media. In actuality, the more comfortable I became in my own skin, the more I saw being vulnerable as an asset vs a liability.

I started Clockwork AI at the worst time in my own personal finance life. But at that time there was no plan B in my mind. There will always be a reason not to do something, you just have to be relentless in your pursuit to succeed. #FounderMentality #Entrepreneurs

Being an entrepreneur doesn’t care about your degree, last name, resume, or zip code. They might get you a nod, but they won’t keep you in the game. In the end, it's all about how well you execute and the genuine intent behind your actions. #Entrepreneurship #Founders

Success looks different at every stage of a business. Early on, it might be getting a response to an email or nailing a crucial meeting. Later, it could be clinching a six-figure deal Every win, big or small, is a milestone, a clear signal you're moving forward.

Stuck in a startup rut with no traction and burning cash? If it's costing your health and relationships, or the passion's faded, stepping back is strategic, not defeat. Quitting can be the first step to something bigger. #Startups #Entrepreneur

Grit is my driving force as a founder From three near-death experiences to growing up as an immigrant in the U.S. and navigating hurdles as a founder of color, my 'why' has had to be bulletproof Staring adversity in the face has made me push through, harder and stronger

Founders, if know your numbers or you don't know your business. Financial literacy is your venture's backbone. Without it, you can't decide, pivot, or pitch effectively. It's not about being an accountant but mastering your business’s pulse. #Finance #Founders

People are always into the idea of lifting up entrepreneurs, but when it comes down to the wire — I get reminded of the saying “No one is going to carry your pale for you.” That’s why the key to being successful is to go all in on yourself. #entrepreneurship #startups

When I started @Clockwork_AI, I was my own worst enemy. I was constantly fighting myself and my own self-doubt to get to the next day. But if I didn’t have the passion I had, none of the success I have right now would’ve even been possible. #startups #founders #entrepreneur

A CEO's role? Craft the vision, steer the company. I got burned out micromanaging every detail at @Clockwork_AI's start—12 hr days, 7 days a week. Now, I keep a pulse on everything but avoid getting in the weeds. #CEO #founders #startups

Reporting and updating financials are already outdated tasks. Don’t lose clients by not offering advisory services. #advisory #accounting #finance
