This community has been nothing but supportive of us and is what has kept us going through many difficulties. Thus, we did not see it fair or ethical to continue on with something that we don’t think will realistically work out the way we had planned. 10/

Many of you have helped us in numerous ways, including Twitter promoting, moderating, graphic design, and general community engagement, going far beyond what was expected of any of you - for this we are immensely grateful. 9/

We thank all of you who believed in not only our project, but also in our team, enough to purchase our NFTs in such a saturated market. It means a lot to know that there were people who believed in our vision enough to support us in this attempt. 8/

Refund everyone who minted our project. After much reflecting on this, as well as advice from veterans in the space, we have chosen the best thing that we can do in our situation that is most fair to you all is to offer refunds for everyone who purchased a Factions NFT. 7/

This left us in a difficult position with two options moving forward - let the project slow rug, leaving you all with the burden of of bearing the loss from the lack of project success while we dump endless amounts of more time and money into a hopeless pursuit, or... 6/

This is not to say that the community we have all built together is inadequate - quite the opposite in fact. Only that with the competition present in the space, it is very difficult to expand your reach to the level required. 5/

As much as that pains me to say, the premise of the Faction Games, the idea that brought you all here, relies on secondary marketplace volume, something that I unfortunately do not see happening based on the success of the mints, project activity and community engagement. 4/

After a few batch mints early on, leading into this final mint yesterday, something became abundantly clear to myself, as well as the rest of the team - the game mechanics are not going to work. 3/

Factions has been something I have given my all to the last 6 months. The concept of this project was something that I had never seen before and although ambitious, was something I also thought could be very cool in the space. 2/
