This is what worries me, especially with Radio Silence directing. They did this to Dewey in Scream, killed him against David Arquette's wishes, Wes Craven always wanted Dewey to have a happy ending. Also they blamed the fans and thanked Rian Johnson in the credits.
I would love this to be great but what are the chances that current day Hollywood will get it right? We don't need another "they are separated and he's a loser and bad Father" story. We don't need The Mummy to join Indiana Jones and Star Wars.
