Sunday marks my last day as president of Florida State University. To say this has been my dream job does not even begin to capture what an honor and a joy it has been to lead my beloved alma mater. Please read my message to the FSU family.

This building is a wise investment that will reap dividends for generations to come. FSU researchers and students will collaborate within these walls to generate new ideas, develop products and drive our economy.

As we repopulate campus, let’s continue to protect one another and do all we can to keep our campus fully operational. I strongly encourage all students, faculty and staff to get vaccinated before arriving on campus.

I am saddened by the loss of Dr. Frederick Humphries. Dr. Humphries was a tremendous leader for @FAMU_1887 and a great friend to Florida State University. He will be missed.

Congratulations to FSU Trustee and @FSUSGA President Nastassia Janvier on being elected chair of the Florida Student Association! She is a great leader and will be an outstanding representative of more than 400,000 students in the State University System.

It was a joy to celebrate the induction of @NationalMagLab Director and @FSUPhysics Professor Greg Boebinger into the National Academy of Sciences! This recognition is one of the highest honors a scientist can receive!
