Thank you for supporting our referendum! Our facilities can now have the urgent needs addressed, while NJ picks up a portion of the cost. Our success is thanks to the swell of community support. Our Board Members and community leaders rallied around us which helped tremendously.

The projects in FRHSD’s referendum are critical and urgent. This is work that must be done. The question for voters is, how do you prefer to fund the work? Through bonds or our annual operating budget? At a discount or full price?

FRHSD's annual operating budget has always provided for routine maintenance and localized repairs of facilities such as roofs/parking lots. Prior to S2, budgets also provided for the accumulation of monies to fund periodic projects to replace entire sections of roof/parking lots.

Please remember to vote on November 2nd. The FRHSD is putting out a referendum concentrating on Roofing and Paving projects. As you can see, CNHS really needs the roofing work. #theregional #supportcnhs @FRHSDVote

And yes, that tarp in the gym ceiling is there to capture water just like the trash cans in the other images.

This is what we mean by urgent infrastructure needs. Here's a glimpse at what our buildings look like after last night's rain. The proposed areas in the referendum need to be replaced. These portions of roofing are old and out of warranty. Years of wear and tear are showing.

The critical and urgent work in FRHSD's referendum will be completed at a discount if it is approved by voters. New Jersey will pick up 40% of the bonds' cost, reducing the cost to FRHSD to $8.68 million instead of the full amount of $14.46 million.

Completing necessary capital work within the confines of the 2% tax cap, teamed with S2's destructive state aid loss while maintaining our current level of service, is impossible. A successful referendum doesn't solve S2, but an unsuccessful one causes a greater burden for FRHSD.

There are no frivolous projects proposed in the referendum. There are only urgent infrastructure items that need to be addressed. This work can be completed at a discount if the referendum is approved by voters. 40% of the bonds' costs will be picked up by NJ if it passes.

The referendum contains only critical and urgent infrastructure work that must be done. The need for the proposed paving is visible in our driveways and parking areas. If the referendum passes, this work will be completed at a discount as NJ will pick up 40% of the bonds' cost.

With over 50% of its roof being new, Freehold High School's current roofing needs are not on the same scale as our other schools. It is for this reason why Boro has less roofing work planned in this referendum.
