🚢 In 1889, the iron barque AMOY was wrecked at Mengeary Point in the Falklands, in 'foul conditions' while carrying yerba maté to Chile. The crew survived and the ship sold at auction for £36. It is forever remembered as “The Maté Wreck”. 📜 Full story:

In 2019, our team discovered the wreck of SMS Scharnhorst, lost during the Battle of the Falklands in 1914. Now lying 1,600m down, the footage reveals an extraordinary moment of maritime history. Find out more here.
