Happy #FindsFriday!.DENO-C47B60 is a wonderful copper alloy palstave axe head from the middle #BronzeAge! šŸŖ“.The blade facet shows rippling from the metal being hammered down to sharpen the blade. The other four sides of the blade have indents that appear to be decorative.

It's #FindsFriday!.Today we have DENO-92FF45 a glorious #Roman phallic harness pendant dating to 43-410 AD. Phallic pendants were popular, both for soldiers and also adults and children in rural locations. This popularity came from the belief that they kept the ā€˜evil eye’ at bay.

Happy #FindsFriday!!.This week we have DENO-B49106 a brilliant #copperalloy figurine of the Lincoln Imp, a character from Lincoln’s folklore, which dates from AD1700-1900. Along the base reads ā€˜Lincoln’, suggesting that this find was potentially manufactured as a tourist item.šŸ‘æ
