In an era of shrinking aid, @UNICEF projects a $3.2B cut in education aid by 2026. We canโt afford platitudes like โdo more with less.โ We must be smarter with what we have. Evidence shows: ๐ โ
3x larger results โ
10x the scale โ
1/100th the cost #DisruptToDeliver #UNGA80

The good news? Many ministers are ready to make those tough choices, and new evidence is emerging to guide them. For example: ~$6 per child per year is enough to fund a light-touch, evidence-based program that drives results.

The bad news ๐: The funding environment has dramatically shifted. And our sector hasnโt responded fast enough. Ministers face tough choicesโnot just reallocating within education, but balancing sector-wide pressures in a crisis.

This month weโve seen some of the best longitudinal evidence linking early grade learning to economic growth. Compared to the US domestic Ed space: learning outcomes 3x bigger, at 10x the scale, at 1/100th of the cost. Proof that smart investments work
