#YomKippur - the holiest and most somber day in the #Jewish calendar - has drawn to a close. Across #Ukraine the members of the Jewish communities gathered in their synagogues to pray and spend the day together in unity.

Kaparot at Machne Chabad — displaced Jewish families in Hungary prepared for Yom Kippur with the ancient ritual. Opened in 2022 by FJCU, EMIH & the Hungarian government, the camp has supported 10,000+ people, preserving Jewish life and tradition.

Commemoration of the Victims of the #BabynYar Tragedy A solemn ceremony of laying flowers took place in Prokhorivskyi Square at the monument to the victims of the #Holocaust in Odesa on September 29.

President Volodymyr Zelensky took part in the annual Babyn Yar commemoration, traditionally organized by FJCU. The ceremony was opened by Vice President Rabbi Raphael Rutman. During the event, the President received a Ukrainian-language edition of Tehilim.

Kyiv once more became a location for the tenth annual March of Remembrance to mark the 84th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy. Participants walked from the Kyivska Rus cinema to the Menorah Holocaust Memorial within the National Historical and Memorial Reserve of #BabynYar

Last week, the #Khmelnytskyi Hesed Besht charitable foundation hosted Mykhailo Hutor, a #Holocaust researcher and academic from the National Historical and Memorial Reserve «Babyn Yar».

Yakiv Syniakov, the chaplain of the #FJCU, regularly visits Ukrainian servicemen to provide them with both spiritual guidance and essential humanitarian aid. This time, he travelled to a paratrooper unit carrying out combat missions in eastern Ukraine.

On the 18th of Elul, the eve of Shabbat Selichot, the city of Hadiach hosted festivities marking #ChaiElul – the birthday of two great tzaddikim: Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi (the Alter Rebbe), the founder of the Chabad movement, and Rabbi Israel Baal Shem Tov.
