MAIN ROADS ONLY BEING TREATED. Clearance of snow drifts from main roads is our main priority at this time. Only when our main roads are open will we move to treatment of lower priority routes. We are working as hard as we can with assistance from farmers & contractors

Today, we have cleared snow from carriageways and footways leading to schools, as well as clearing snow drifts in the Airth/Letham and Denny/Bonnybridge areas. Tomorrow we will move to Priority 2 and 3 routes and we will be refilling grit bins.

UPDATE ON ACTION: Many of our main roads continue to be blocked by snow drifts. We have assistance that is aiding us in clearing these however, it takes time. We will not be in a position to clear lower priority routes today. Main footways will be targeted for snow clearance

Road Surface Temperatures are now falling sharply across the area. It is currently -4.3c in Limerigg as well as -4.4c at Bo'ness. Air temperatures are -4.0c in Limerigg and -3.3c in Bo'ness. As temperatures continue to drop we will monitor closely and react if needed.
