EGA ART GALLERY On Wednesday we opened our stunning art gallery for parents/carers. The gallery showcases work from Nursery to Year 6. Our families were amazed by the creative pieces on show! A fantastic achievement for our children.

Drawing Minibeasts 🪲 Today we used sketching pens and graphite to draw directly from insect samples. This was a great opportunity to get up close and personal with our creepy crawly friends, to encourage close and careful observations. @NewSilksAcademy

#WorldBookDay reading and celebrating our favourite books! Today I read Mama Panya’s Pancakes to all classes in KS1. We then made spicy pancakes following the recipe from the book 🌶️🥞 Some children even had seconds! ‘A little bit and a little bit more.’ @NewSilksAcademy
