I'm always fascinated reading about game design philosophies, but especially so here. Cronos is superb. I'm going to be diving in again before the year's out, seeing if I can do a better job at mastering these systems than on my first go round.

Got to finish Cronos: the New Dawn by @BlooberTeam right before leaving for holiday. It gave me a few really good design lessons, along with an incredible soundtrack that will stay with me for a long while. Hands down one of my favorite games this year! š

Iāve never been more convinced that to make an outstanding indie game with some « soulĀ Ā», the primary inspiration must be something from your real life, something in your guts, some kind of « life experienceĀ Ā». Not another video game, not a movie, not a tv show.

We were hard into playtesting Haven (i.e. watching normal people play the WiP game) when the lockdown started. And we definitely NEED playtesting to make a good game. So we set up a new way of playtesting. Iāll be watching the testers play on Steam/Discord starting next week!

@Donatbihr For me the value of playtests is 99% the lead devs watching players. I donāt do questionaries anymore. So sending a build with a form to fill was not what I wanted. I want to watch. So we thought of screensharing/remote control/screenrecording etc. Discord feels the best pick.
