Thank you @ARC for the incredible support! 🌊🪸 Coral reefs and the services they provide are critical to protect. We must do more to combat the #climatecrisis and understand reef pathways for adaptation to climate change. #ClimateScience #CoralReefs #ARCResearch

How fast will the corals in our reefs adapt to the effects of climate change? Dr Kate Quigley (@la__cientifica) from @jcu is using her years of experience as a molecular ecologist and the support of an ARC DECRA fellowship to find out. More: https://t.co/HrZe56Kmxn

Little or no #coralbleaching at WA’s oceanic reefs😅 Scientists surveyed the reefs after satellite monitoring early in summer indicated water temps were building to levels associated with mass bleaching. Cyclones + storms likely cooled waters. More ➡️ https://t.co/WXefxjbvgR

The largest ray in the world, the oceanic manta, is seen feeding in the blue of Nyinggulu. Ningaloo and Exmouth Gulf support a core population of reef manta rays, whereas oceanics are migratory, and we have so much to learn about this endangered species. 📽️ @louisrichter
