@CEOofLinie @GrampsToolshed @ForestFrost9 AD&D 2E is backwards compatible with all prior editions of the game. D&D 3E forward BROKE that system compatibility and is D&D in brand name only as they are totally different system treatments. They are no longer evolutions but solid system breaks. The Fog (2005) is a dumb remake. I prefer Carpenter's 1980 original, visually dated packs a proper punch. Its opening scene by John Houseman is unmatched, and cryptically informs about the bay's past. Wainwright's version make me cringe. The SFX are ridiculous. #thefog

I love traditional Spanish croquetas. I make them myself. But those sold by @sainsburys are way too salty. Also, tried their chorizo (cho-ree-tho) croquetas and again they don't taste as croquetas should. Too salty. Best when freshly made by hand, not factory made. #toomuchsalt

Many Christmas films have the feel good factor. After what many of us see on the news, or experience daily in our lives or on our streets, the feel good factor is what we need. It's a pity it comes from a film rather than real life events which I know are out there but r unseen.

Christmas films focus on families coming together; healing where things in the past have caused pain; a chance to change; compassion for others; romance; innocence; Silent Night as the end of film tune. All fiction but full of how humans should interact together. ❤️ from the West

So what do I do to escape chaos and noise? The Christmas decorations were put up last weekend, and I've been enjoying 8 Christmas films plus a couple of 😖 ones. This endeavour brings warmth, smiles, tears and food. Not my normal habit, I just want to see the decent human spirit.

Chainmail? Battlesystem? Yuck. If there are battles to be had in my RPG my preference is to employ FGUs Broadsword. It's a simple system. However, a battle should be fought in a separate game session by those who are interested in fighting a battle. Which system do you use?

Been thinking about this a lot, but it has to be said. It seems the process for ensuring that a new adventure created for publication is of high quality is solely to test it with players. Wrong. Take official adventures. Some of them are dreadful - despite them being play tested.
