🟣 Mónica Mayo, Head of the Pain Unit at CHUVI and part of the @IISGaliciaSur team, presented a poster at the Spanish Pain Society Congress on home-based transcranial electrical stimulation for oncological pain. A step forward in #neuromodulation with #PAINLESS.

▶️New research shows techniques like tDCS and rTMS can modulate pain perception by targeting cerebellar regions. 🔹 Anodal tDCS may reduce pain. 🔹 Cathodal tDCS can increase sensitivity. 🔹 rTMS affects heat & cold perception. 🔗 Read the article:

🧠 New research shows the cerebellum plays a key role in pain perception—including its emotional and anticipatory dimensions. Regions like Crus I, lobule VI & VIII, and the vermis integrate sensory, motor & emotional input in some chronic pain conditions.
