Today’s stablecoin ecosystem flipped off most economies by treating USD stablecoins as the final form of onchain money, and pushing the rest of the world aside. @EtherfuseDave published a paper explaining how yield-bearing local currency primitives change the equation.👇📄

The dollar is being devalued… likely on purpose. It’ll likely continue throughout 2026 You want to hold you’re crypto in a safe asset and store of value The crypto consensus machine has you stuck into this devaluation with no other option save possibly the Euro No worries.

Japanese hiked rates, currency went down. Bad sign. No investor confidence in Japan Central Bank. Currency could go down more. Euro pays little interest, US dollar is at risk, and now yen weakness. Emerging market local tokenized bonds look good in this situation.

The conclusion that no one wants non-USD stablecoins is lazy. And it's wrong. It dismisses the need for significant participation from global economies. Using only current blockchain activity as evidence to support this conclusion is like staring at a single pixel and insisting

Having built and scaled a multi-billion dollar FX platform across emerging markets, I am aligned and can relate to this paper’s central thesis from hard operational experience: the lack of non-USD stablecoin adoption is a supply-side failure, not demand-side. Back in 2019, we
