With the temperatures on Martha’s Vineyard dipping into the single digits and struggling to get above freezing, a question has been on the mind of Islanders: what does this mean for the pesky tick?

It was by chance that Ken Rhoads glanced out his window Thursday morning and noticed a ripple in the water near the end of his dock on Lagoon Pond. Mr. Rhoads’s quick glance — and quick action — would save a dog’s life. https://t.co/sJ6QiDtmeW

Martha’s Vineyard has nearly two dozen farms and agriculture is one of the major employers, outside of construction, health care and public sector jobs. So the two have lots in common.
I don’t like the term “New England”. What the hell does a northern Maine farmer have in common with a douche bag sailboater on Martha’s Vineyard?? We should go by state and get rid of the whole New England bullshit.

As a young cops reporter my editors never let me used the phrase “known to law enforcement” as it means nothing. Police know lots of people for a zillion reasons!
Alex Pretti was ‘known’ to feds, had rib broken in anti-ICE protest a week before he was killed by Border Patrol https://t.co/fizMNeXzQy
