Why would we need to call a council on Catholics believing they worship the same demon the moslems do? We can sit back in our easy victory as the one true Church.
If the Orthodox are so offended by Roman Catholic teaching on Islam. Maybe they should call an ecumenical council.

There are very real issues in the Latin church that should be resolved before any talk about us being incorrigible can be considered.
The biggest obstacle to mutual theological understanding is the incorrigibility of the Orthodox in not looking at their own tradition honestly and in doubling down on caricatures of Catholic doctrine in the name of a critique of the construct of the "West" which they invented.

The Holy Royal Martyrs are universally recognized as saints and martyrs in the Orthodox Church. To deny them is to deny the works of the Holy Spirit.
