Happy #NationalSafeDiggingDay! Across our footprint, our utilities have thousands of miles of underground pipelines that can be damaged when homeowners, businesses, or contractors dig or excavate. That’s why each year on 8/11 we mark #811Day as an important reminder to call 811.
Today is #811Day, the perfect time for a reminder to call before you dig! Last month, nearly 40 customers in Butler County lost service for hours when an excavator neglected to call 811 before digging and damaged a Peoples mainline, pictured below. Thankfully nobody was injured
