Year 8 Football Win! 👏 Congrats to our Year 8 football team on their 3-2 win at Upper Wharfedale School yesterday! Goals were from Haroon and Raffy (2), the second of which was a last minute penalty kick. Special mentions to joint mvp’s Vinny and Fletcher. Well done team!⚽️

Yesterday, we held our annual whole school XC event. From speedy sprinters to those in fabulous fancy dress, everyone gave it their all! This beloved tradition has been going strong for decades, and it’s amazing to see it continue to bring joy to pupils and staff alike.

🏌️‍♂️⛳ Congratulations to our golf stars! ⛳🏌️‍♀️ We’re incredibly proud to announce that our fantastic team placed in the top 10 at the national golf finals yesterday, representing Yorkshire on the big stage! 🌟

This week, our school community came together for our annual Speech Day and prize-giving ceremony, celebrating the achievements of our pupils. Congratulations to all pupils who received an award this year and thank you to everyone who attended.

Our four gold DofE groups set off from Windermere on the morning of 26 June on their four-day expedition. The weather proved to be a severe challenge throughout but the boys battled admirably! Well done to all participants! 👏👏👏

🥾Silver Duke of Edinburgh Expedition ⛺ With determination, teamwork, and resilience, four groups successfully completed their three-day Duke of Edinburgh Silver Expedition in the Yorkshire Dales in June. Well done! 👏👏👏

Congratulations to our DofE Bronze teams who completed their qualifying expedition at the weekend on a two-day expedition from Grassington to Embsay (via Cracoe and Skyreholme). Weather conditions were mixed but everyone had a great time and represented the school brilliantly!

Congratulations to our two Young Enterprise teams, who took part in the area final on Tuesday and came away with the award for sustainability (Wooden Expressions) and Teamwork (Plantables). Plantables were also competition winners and go forward to the Yorkshire regional final!👏
