Following the shooting death of a member of our Spectrum News 13 crew, our parent company, Charter Communications, has released a statement.

Queen Elizabeth II, who ruled the United Kingdom for more than 70 years, has died, Buckingham Palace announced on Twitter. She was 96 years old.

BREAKING: @NYCMayor lifts mask mandate in public schools, and ends vaccine screening at restaurants and other private businesses. Effective Monday, March 7.

Here's a link to the @CDCgov new "community level" recommendations. You can check out where your community falls and whether indoor masking is still recommended.

Masks are only recommended when the community level is deemed 'high' and the recommendation includes schools. The @CDCgov will post community level data on its website along with whether the community is at a "low", "medium" or "high" level of COVID transmission.

The focus is shifting to those most vulnerable for severe illness and the potential strain on the healthcare system.
