I kind of feel bad for these people in a way. When the campaign high is a distant memory & the reality of governing a city of 10 million people sets in like a bad hangover...Mamdani will reveal himself to be nothing more than a less-qualified & competent version of DeBlasio.

So let's do the math. They raise taxes on the wealthy to pay for the "free" stuff. The wealthy leave or loophole their way out of it. Guess who's left footing the bill?
Kathy Hochul admits socialist Zohran Mamdani’s ‘tax the rich’ plan would hurt NY’s middle class: ‘I cannot do that’ https://t.co/PbOEftjjWc

.@AGPamBondi and @SecScottBessent should look into this. And secondarily, how many of those @ZohranKMamdani canvassers could be getting paid through this scheme?
Soros tried to kill this story. The @DailyMail did not back down. They published anyway. $40M+ documented flows through 9 channels. 6 organizations coordinated operations—all endorsed same candidate, mobilized ground operations. Admitted publicly, denied on federal forms. My

Maybe they're on to something, @bkdems?
I still find it remarkable that the Queens Democratic Party refused to endorse Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic mayoral nominee who currently represents western Queens.

"...he wanted to visit nurses and bus operators on the night shift, raising New Yorkers 'often forgotten from the darkness and into the light.'" This guy has a serious Messiah complex. Fucking weirdo.
"'Less Zero Bond,' he said, a reference to Mr. Adams’s favorite private club in Manhattan. He added that he wanted to visit nurses and bus operators on the night shift, raising New Yorkers 'often forgotten from the darkness and into the light.'" https://t.co/kcqAw9EXx0

Seems like NYC is eventually going to become a purely tech driven economy. Creatives can't afford it. Finance people see it as increasingly bad deal. Unfortunately it also makes the economy incredibly fragile.
Signs NYC is definancializing: • Share of workers in finance went from 12% in 1990 to 7.7% now • NYC only got 19k finance jobs out of 233k created in last five years • JPMorgan employs more in TX than NY • national share of college educated and millionaires has fallen

“As Jews of District 36, Zohran’s Assembly district, we live in a world where his tenure and campaign have fragmented our community, fractured our trust in each other, and upended our sense of belonging and safety. We are left-wing Jews, right-wing Jews, and out-of-the-box
Must read article from JTA: HOW JEWS FEAR MAMDANI IN HIS OWN DISTRICT #StopMamdani

Portland DSA’s Sarah Milner calls the Democratic Party, “hostile territory.” 🗣️“We are socialists, the Democratic Party is not.” They’ve declared war from the inside. Why are Democrat voters not horrified by this?

The fact that Zohran wants to destroy @ElizabethStGrdn and won't commit to a position on Prop 2-5 are big red flags 🚩🚩
why is @zohrankmamdani ignoring the deal to create 623 homes and save the elizabeth street garden? why can’t he address this compromise? so odd https://t.co/Ea7ewavzZB

Multi-millionaires telling billionaires they're too rich is a new level of ridiculousness.

keep in mind this was a photo op, not a “oh hey fancy meeting *you* here on the m57, ha!” chance encounter sam was invited to this, as if he represents anyone in nyc other than the wealthy transient yimbys who hate new yorkers & want this city to be their own car-less playground
sam is the east coast version of armand domalewski: he’s well connected and wealthy; he’s desperate to align with power, marketing himself as “just a smol bean guy;” and he’s hellbent on ruining the city in which he *currently* lives for other, long term residents

Good marketing can sell a bad product.
I cannot wrap my mind around the notion that arguably the second hardest job in America is about to go to someone with virtually zero work experience, a LOT of hateful ideas, and a campaign that promises things which are impossible. I feel so betrayed by my fellow New Yorkers.
