Gotta love the global melting pot made possible by global transportation and communication. I remember as a kid in the 60s our family visiting a neighbor's and watching a slide show of their recent trip to Thailand. It all seemed so exciting and exotic --international air.

Correct.
If you look historically we havenāt cut our reliance on any energy source, we have just added new sources as weāve grown. Yes the relative percentage falls, but not the level of consumption. Those expecting oil to disappear are going against the entire history of energy.
