This is the way. From LEO, chemical tugs for quick transfer to any orbit in cis-lunar space, and NEP for long duration missions in deep space. NTP doesn't make sense -- melting pts limit ISP gains, and reactor, shielding, and thermal radiators add too much parasitic mass.
This is an important step into the space age. Once you have efficient reactors for surface power, nuclear electric propulsion (NEP) will soon follow.

Yah, amazing. They’re clearly in it for the long haul, regardless of what the naysayers think. Last time I visited was when the Starbase sign first went up. Maybe I’ll try to go again for the first orbital flight with Starship catch.
Probably the best view of the SpaceX production site in South Texas we've ever seen. For perspective I've attached a photo of the same area I took just five years ago. The change is remarkable.
