Homeschoolers made up 6.73% of all school-age children (K-12) in the U.S as of 2020/2021. There were 3.7 million homeschool students in the U.S at the end of 2020 and estimates show that the last two years homeschooling has increased at least 10% per year.

93% of high schools and 83% of middle schools start before 8:30am.

Public School - The school district that has been established in your state, county, city.

Home Schools - Parents who establish a school in their home and have met the approved criteria of their respective states.

Private Schools - Schools funded through private funding and approved through an accreditation agency.

Charter Schools - Public schools that are funded by state tax dollars, but are operated by a state approved charter.

A lot of folks don't know the difference between a public school and a charter school. Here's a refresher:

Pennsylvania and a handful of other states saw the largest drop in teacher degrees. In the last decade, the number of newly certified in-state teachers dropped from roughly 15,000 a year to 5,000 last year.
