We assessed #vulnerability of dryland bird species to #heatwaves; 888 were assessed vulnerable of which ~91% are red-listed as non-threatened. Populations of vulnerable species declined faster than non-vulnerable after heatwaves. https://t.co/m32Q1b3ecF @Chenchen_Ding @tnewbold31

What's the secret to living at high altitude? For the Xizang plateau frog, it's a whole-body overhaul. New study shows the species survives by rewiring its metabolism and tuning protein expression—energy efficiency & cellular protection #Adaptation #Omics

The first-ever State of the World's Migratory Species report launched at #CMSCOP14 is a worrying read - and one we must react to. ➡️44% of migratory species are showing population declines ➡️22% of are threatened with extinction My remarks to media: https://t.co/Yps2D95omk

Here we link #species biology with behavioral flexibility to improve estimates of #vulnerability to extreme climatic events. Documenting responses (type & magnitude) to these events & behaviours associated with them is a key avenue for field research
