This school got government funding to rebuild its already existing library as a Scots baronial monstrosity meanwhile not all public school classrooms have air conditioning.
Great call by Scots College Sydney replacing its modernist monster of a library with a building in Scottish baronial style. Increasingly around the world, people are defying the modern architecture lobby with traditional designs that most people prefer. https://t.co/hYpV1rASoK

This tiny speck of light is Earth, our home, suspended in the vast cosmic ocean. Captured by Voyager 1 from nearly 6.4 billion km away, it reminds us how fragile and precious our world is. Every human being who has ever lived, every story ever told, exists on this pale blue dot.

“The best way to avoid abuses is for the populace in general to be scientifically literate, to understand the implications of such investigations. In exchange for freedom of inquiry, scientists are obliged to explain their work. If science is considered a closed priesthood, too

Just out in Nature yesterday, SARS-COv-2 infection can awaken sleeping cancer cells! My concern mounts with increasing evidence that COVID is a cancer inducing virus. Viral clearance is more important than ever, especially in those with LONG-COVID. https://t.co/kml0zXPIMA

We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back. - Carl Sagan
