He said he was called to run for Congress in 1st place to defend against marriage equality. As long as anti-LGBTQ+ leaders like Mike Johnson run the House & sit 3 heartbeats away from the Presidency, queer people in our country can never feel secure in our equality under the law.

Mike Johnson introduced a bill in Congress attempting to cut federal funding to libraries & schools who "host or promote any program...involving gender identity, transgenderism, [or] sexual orientation.”  He called gender-affirming care "abuse." (2/x)
