#EHS wants you to know there are ways to reduce your risk of #BreastCancer? All of these involve making better behavioral choices like maintaining a healthy weight, staying physically active, avoiding harmful use of alcohol, breastfeeding and quitting/avoiding tobacco use.

#DYK when #breastcancer is detected early the 5-year relative survival rate is 99%? #Earlydetection includes monthly breast self-exams & regular clinical breast exams & mammograms. At age 40, women should get annual mammograms & if over 18 should perform monthly breast self-exams

We at #EHS know #mammograms do not pose a cancer risk and they are vital tool in the early detection of #breastcancer. Regular mammograms are recommended for women starting at age 40, but you should discuss risk factors with your provider to determine the best screening schedule.
