In over 200,000 Danish women, we found that experiencing adversity during childhood to any extent is linked to a higher risk of GDM. However, women exposed to high levels of adversity had their first child at a younger age, mitigating some of this risk https://t.co/i2ZQ59THLf

Our work on journal submissions was featured in Nature 🥳 We hope this is one step closer to biomedical journals adopting our proposed guidelines, so we can shift our focus and energy to science rather than cumbersome formatting guidelines 🙏 https://t.co/BOTar5g5k6?

Something a little different from our usual topics - some of our excellent researchers did some digging into just how much time is spent on reformatting papers for submission guidelines (spoiler: its a lot!) Read the whole paper here: https://t.co/0SVquwp2zX

Study design matters. It's not optional and it's not easy. This is a key part of epidemiology and needs to remain a key part of epidemiology training. #EpiTwitter #SER2022

4. Reading with ADHD is hard, and it often co-occurs with dyslexia. Having engaging visuals and less dense text can therefore make a big difference in following slides 5. We might fidget during presentations, it can also help with concentration, it doesn’t mean we are bored :)

3. Impatience and sensitivity to stress is common in ADHD, so when presentations are running over, or the chair is waving a stop sign, it can heighten feelings of stress and an inability to concentrate on what is being said. Sticking to time is therefore hugely appreciated :)

1. Presentations on the shorter side. Not a one size fits all, as some need to be longer, but shorter talks can help with attention span 2. Our reward seeking brains mean we are more responsive when we know there are breaks coming, so frequent shorter breaks can be helpful (2/n)
