It's not even the same - The Brandy Cinderella was a Rodgers and Hammerstein project I think, and they openly used colorblind casting. It wasn't a remake of the Disney version

Pay attention to how any of these groups talk when they "win" a character
"[x] is ours now" "The straights/whites lost [x]" etc.
Bridget (Guilty Gear) is a good recent example.

Honestly, they can keep the live action movies. If its for those fans, sure thing. Why would I validate a nostalgic cash grab, especially if its using black ppl to shield from criticism.
Atleast the one with Brandy was just a reinterpretation without a marketing agenda.

And thats not racist. Just becoz theres a reimagination of once-white characters as black doesn't mean when they are portrayed as black, they are far more of quality than as white.
