Alas we didn't win, but we were up against some very deserving community contributers. We are very privileged and honoured to have been shortlisted and also to share room with some truly inspirational people. We'll carry on breaking barriers bringing people together with football

Tonight is the night. Over 45 guys attending our 🐘🏆 12 supporting raising awareness about both Men's mental ill health and prevention of suicide and Cancer- early screening and diagnosis. 5 teams, 10 games : who will be triumphant and take home a prestigious 📷 🏆🐘

Football is a great game but it's benefits go way beyond what happens on the pitch. Apres-game at our @theyellows Walking Football session. Just to sit and talk to old and new friends for a short while. OK there was cake involved, but we see this week in week out at our sessions.

Wow, We are fully booked for tonight's #OneGameAtaTime1 men's mental ill health and suicide prevention awareness session at 7.30pm. Sadly we are unable to accommodate any drop ins at 7.30pm, but we do (correct at 12.44pm) have 3 places for our #OneGameAtaTime2 8.30pm session.

After 4 years we say goodbye to Penketh Tennis Club our original base for our over 60s Walking Football group. We've got great memories from there, but we move to our new home at Fiddlers Ferry Golf Club indoor 3g pitch starting 30th January 2025. Let's make some new memories.

The weather outside is frightful..ok we've gone past the December C word, but we have managed to get our indoor sessions on. But don't relax and sink back into that comfy armchair watching TV fodder, get back out there, get active and reduce the risk of the other C word.

A chapter closes for our @RecoveryAllStar and #OneGameAtaTime sessions as we bid farewell to our home of 5 years. We've had some great times at Bank Quay Sports Club, met some great friends had some great events.Thanks to everyone who has turned up past and present over that time

Last WA5 walking football and Lionesses sessions for 2024 and the weather and illness beating us badly for numbers. It's a pity really as there were some potentially fascinating hats from the Lionesses. We go again next year and hope it'll be a lot more pleasant weather wise
