Done and dusted🔥 rolling out v1.0 of my portfolio website, designed & developed by me, I had too much fun cooking this👨🏽🍳🥘
Because I wanted it to be unique,I faced some challenges building it like lack of inspiration, recurring revisions & not knowing when to call it a v1.0

Frontend developers,
Learn HTML before CSS
Learn CSS before JS
Learn JS before React.js
Learn JS before Redux
Learn JS before Typescript
Learn JS before Next.js
Learn JS before Js Libraries
At this point, we all know what to do 💪🏽🔥😹
Done and decorous🔥, rolling out a version 1.0 of My food order frontend app “HOMELY”, had so much fun cooking🧑🍳🍲

• Animation on scroll library
• React scroll library
• Sweetalert.js library

Anytime I’m on any of those websites with a ton of annoying pop ups or ads
I just inspect the page and remove the Javascript behind it 😹
NOW, this is why you should be a developer 😹😹
Thanks to you all for 10k+ friends❤️ it’s been quite an amazing journey so far

ONE LOVE❤️
If you’re a Nigerian and you’re in Tech, it’s either you’re going through a lot, coming from a lot, or about to enter a lot 😹
A lot is going on with everyone of us 😹
How I learn to code😊
• I accept this is my Tech journey & learning is a life long process so I won’t rush myself or set deadlines
• I follow structured courses and not random tutorials
• I don’t cram instead I try to understand each keyword and it’s function in the code.
Eniola Codes 2022 year in Tech review
- Resumed a full time Frontend developer role in January
- Got serious with Freelancing, failed to get gigs on fiverr so I started promoting my skills on social media which worked
- Successfully delivered projects for 6 clients this year
I will master the language in 3 months, then master the framework in 2 months, build projects for 1 month, then get a Full time job just after 6 months of learning, Good plan! 🤡🤡😹
Frontend developers, checked ton of projects from my folks on tech twitter & noticed a similar mistake
no matter what you’re doing, you don’t have to set both the width and height of an image from css, it’ll ruin the image dimension & you get a low quality damaged image…👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
Top reasons why you’ve not landed your first coding Job/Gig
1. Not building projects
2. Not pushing your project codes to Github
3. Not applying right or following up with them
4. Not networking enough or at all
5. Not believing in yourself & skills enough
Let’s make Changes!
Course certifications is almost useless in Tech today, stop rushing to finish courses or add to your skills list
Focus on building projects with what you have learnt, it says you understand & you are able to solve problems with that tool/language
KEEP BUILD, BUILD ANYTHING!
If you’re working with React, you can have your project running locally on any of your mobile devices while you’re building
All you’ll do is:
• connect your PC Wi-Fi to your phone’s hotspot
• Open up your PC Wi-Fi properties and type in the IPV4 address on your phone’s browser
React.js will drop no error messages, console.log brings a ton of jargons and then app stops displaying
Just to find out after 2 days of struggle it was supposed to be a capital letter P
😹😭
I don’t even know how to feel
I learnt how to use a JavaScript library on YouTube from an Indian guy , dude wasn’t even speaking English and I understood everything
NOW, that’s a great teacher 😹👍🏼
A friend recently got a foreign job as a developer, Asked him what key resources he had used and he said:
•Interview help
•Frontend CheckList
•97 things every programmer should know
Were super Helpful!
Frontend developers, if you want to build a unique project and you don’t have a Ui design,
you can get free Ui designs from the figma community👇🏼
Just search what you need, You get all the resources to build the design,
Better UI’s , better projects!
Thanks for 1500+ friends❤️
I am soooo happy about this!😊

TECH won’t only give you money & prospective career,
It’ll give you amazing friends & communities, a new hobby, lot of fun meetups, take idleness away, makes you a creator, gives you a story to tell your kids 😹
Go into TECH TODAY and bring your wildest dreams into REALITY‼️🚀
Here’s what not having a mentor at an early stage caused for me
I didn’t know :
• I should follow a structured course
• Anything about responsive web design
• Javascript/frameworks was necessary
• There was anything called Git
• I should’ve built projects
GET A MENTOR‼️
Top five tips to land your first Tech gig/job
1. Never stop learning and building
2. Practice coding tests & quizzes
3. Build your online presence ( Network & post your works!)
4. Put your codes on GitHub
5. Have a well written Cv
6. Build a portfolio website
KEEP GOING🚀
My old time friend that pushed & motivated me when we both started learning web Dev is still learning the basics of JS
Just to find out he’s being trying to get into many Tech fields at once, but it doesn’t work this way!
I know some of us are really passionate about building👇🏼
I found out about a free to join internship platform today and I thought I should share it!
The first three weeks are usually unpaid then the next 9 weeks gets a pay of 20$/hour
Apply at
My friend just got in!

It’s not every developer that has a job that’s rich or making much, don’t let the hype on Tech money deceive you
Unlike others, many developers have small starts of earning < 50k a month, just to build their skills & experience
If this is you, don’t feel oppressed. KEEP GOING‼️
Thanks for 5000+ friends❤️
I am soooo happy about this!😊

One BIG mistake I made while I was learning to code was that I was too comfortable & inconsistent!
No one will believe I learnt html for 6 months!😹 it’s insane
I had no communities or mentor to push or tell me, You have that now, take ADVANTAGE! 💯
As a Web dev, especially when upcoming, you might be approached by anyone to build a website to be used for SCAM purposes…
Some do and go free, some don’t! I personally advice you don’t partake in it. our talents won’t make us Fall
We making it in Tech the right way, HARDWORK!
Techies!!!!
Consistency is harder when no one is clapping or rooting for you.
Learn to CLAP for yourself during the hard times 👏🏽
Call yourself the BEST!
Nobody got you like you 🚀💯
3rd December 2021,
I attended the Lagos DevFest At lekki with my friends, on getting into the event building, I decided to take a walk by myself around the outdoor environment.
On my walk, a man in a car wined down his window and called me for a conversation, i was here to👇🏼
Thanks for 4k+ friends❤️
