Marybeth R. Breed, CFP®, Chair of the Financial Planners Association of New England and member of the Economic Empowerment Trust Fund Board, testified on how financial education would benefit our students and the state’s economy.

The committee heard from advocates, researchers, teachers, students, and leaders in the financial services industry about the importance of this legislation and the positive impact it would have on MA residents.

Last week, the Joint Committee on Education convened to hear testimony on bills related to education in Massachusetts, including H.46 filed by Treasurer Goldberg, which would require financial education be offered in MA schools.
