Exactly! Same rate for radio plays. Buy the album direct from the artist (if possible) or label. Most record labels are small and struggling too.
Horrified to hear on @BBC6Music today that Spotify pay only Ā£0.002 to the artist for each track listened to. I currently pay Ā£16.99 a month for my family package. I do buy CDs and merchandise at gigs but think I need to rethink my subscription. Are there any better alternatives?

While we should have a proper strategic review of opera provision, this goes beyond opera. Indeed, it's about access to the arts and how we support British talent. Everyone will lose out by this decision. What ACE is doing is an utter dereliction of its stated aims. 2/2
