aws went down again 6 hours ago, then caused chase + bofa + other major banks to go down, leaving people unable to use the portal or make card transactions for hours. is this is what happens when humans delegate all their thinking to AI and vibe-code?

We’re nearing a future where AI agents have the ability to radically improve our world. Yet, today’s agents fall short. They’re incredibly hard to use or build, isolated from external applications and from each other.

most people think raising big is a necessity to hire well, but it isn't. it does increase your top of funnel. but other approaches can be just as effective. e.g., actually convincing your employees of the importance of the idea

one crazy side effect of everyone having access to o3's deep research is that nothing can be gatekept anymore. even if you're one of the world's experts on a particular subject, you can no longer point to esoteric research and pretend to have a superior argument.

TLDR on what’s happening in ai for anyone out of the loop: >sam altman shows up >hello we are openai (is closed source btw) and we will be building ai >sam: we need BILLIONS in funding! >everyone: ok here you go sam >sam: wait really? >everyone: yea..? didn’t you say you need

the thinker does not understand that action will give you insights that thinking alone could never produce but the man of pure action has perfect execution in a dead paradigm tech is updating too fast for either. you must think and do - often in the same day

Today we’re rolling out a beta version of tasks—a new way to ask ChatGPT to do things for you at a future time. Whether it's one-time reminders or recurring actions, tell ChatGPT what you need and when, and it will automatically take care of it.
