9/ But our experiment is far from over, and we want to continue *truly* creating a community-owned collection born out of destruction and curating value out of the ashes. And what better way to do that than to welcome more fellow pyromaniacs to Emergence DAO?.

8/ We burned dozens upon dozens of frams over the weeks, voting as a community which ones were kept after each burn and which would go back into the fire. All streamed live by By design, we were exploring how we could create value by destroying it.

7/ Much in the way that a single holder can curate their own collection of Frams, we wanted to explore how we could collectively curate a collection from burning pooled Frams. And that’s exactly what we did.

6/ The drawback is you receive back n-1 new Frams, so you get back less than you started with. For example, if you burned 7 Frams, you would receive 6 newly minted Frams while the ones burned are gone forever.💀

5/ But why burn?. Being the first true deflationary NFT project, Framergence (known around these part as “Frams”) has a unique mechanism whereby holders can burn their pieces to get back new mints.

4/ Based on this simple question and after weeks of discussion, the foundation for Emergence DAO was born. Together with the community, we compiled the largest collection of Frams but with a twist: every piece donated would be burned regardless of its traits or aesthetics. 🔥

3/ @FLAMINGODAO had done their own Framergence burn and @squiggleDAO had opened up contributions of Framergence in return for $SQUIG. So this had the members in Fingerprints wondering, “how can we join in on the fun and make use of the mechanics found in Emergence projects?”.

2/ It was a warm summer night and @cypherdao had just gotten done burning yet another Sunset on White @pulsquares into their main piece “Amun Ra” (. But up to this point, they were not the only DAO to deal in Emergence projects.
